My name is David Longford. I am a certified Home Inspector and a charter member of the National Society of Home Inspectors (NSHI).

I want to thank you for taking the time to review my promotional materials and my qualifications as a professional home inspector.

Home inspections have now become an integral part of real estate transactions within Ontario.

Home inspections are requisitioned by sellers, real estate agents, buyers, mortgage companies, banks, insurance companies, and secondary financial institutions.

As a professional wiithin the real estate industry, or a consumer, you should be aware that there are no formal licensing standards for home inspctors within Ontario. In a true sense, the home inspector is expected to be a “jack of all trades”, deferring potential problems to a trained professional. Therefore, the integrity of the home inspection business within Ontario depends upon the experience and the ongoing self education of the inspector.

My own experience with house and building construction in Ontario goes back many years, home renovations, backyard recreational construction, cottage construction, and multi-unit property management.

I believe that my 30 years of “hands on” experience, plus my formal education with Ashworth College, qualifies me to perform reliable, trustworthy and informative home inspections within the Ontario real estate sector.
